FAQ

  • What is it? It is a celebration of Don Engelman's career and of 45 years of the Engelman lab.
  • When? On Saturday, June 11, approximately from mid morning through dinner.
  • Where? In New Haven, at the Bass Center (266 Whitney Ave). Click here for a map.
  • Is there parking near the Bass Center? Lot 22 and 16V are free on weekends. They are both located in front of Gibbs and Bass, by Whitney Ave. Click here for the Yale parking lot map. The map is searchable, search for Lot 22, 16V and also 41).
  • Who is invited? All alumni, colleagues and friends of Don.
  • How do I register? Go here.
  • When is the registration deadline? It is May 24.
  • I cannot commit before the deadline, can I still decide to attend? Possibly, we need a good head-count to reserve space and food, please let us know if you need flexibility.
  • What is in the program? Talks commemorating the four decades of the lab, a poster session, catered lunch and dinner at a restaurant. The program is here.
  • Is there a cost associated with it? Yes, $100 per person to cover dinner and other expenses. The fee is only $20 for those who will not attend dinner.
  • What is for lunch? Lunch will be catered by Nica's Market, we will have a selection of panini sandwiches (Flag, Vegetarian, Vegan, Chichen Pesto, Classico, Mediterraneo, Farmer Boy). Please find Nica's menu here.
  • Where is dinner? Dinner will be at the restaurant the Heirloom (1157 Chapel St, New Haven, 203-503-3919). Click here for the dinner menu. Click here for a map.
  • Where is Friday's gathering? Don and Arlene have invited all who are in town on Friday to a gathering from 4 to 7 pm at Atelier Florian (1166 Chapel St, New Haven, 203-859-5999). Click here for a map.
  • Can I bring a guest? Yes. Please register your guests along with yourself here.
  • I am bringing a poster, what are the dimenisons of the board? The poster boards are 60" x 40".
